Nile

In reverence of the long and rich traditions of the Nile valley, we have chosen the name for one of our rooms. The river Nile is the longest river in Africa and the world and continues to fascinate humanity just as it did the Ancient Egyptians whose civilization it nurtured and sustained. The peoples of 11 African countries share the flow of the river before it empties into the Mediterranean Sea. As it has done for centuries past, it remains a source of food, transport and livelihood security for millions across its wide and fertile banks. The Nile continues to be one of Africa’s primary life springs.
